Let's put the
store online.

Muffy — here's the full scope, the number, and the terms in plain language. Everything below is already designed and built or clearly listed as still to come. Nothing hidden, nothing assumed.

See it before you sign
The site is already built. Go look at it.

Twenty pages, live right now — homepage, all five brand pages, shop, drops, fitting, and your story. Runner photos are temporary stand-ins until your shoot.

View the site →

Nothing on it is locked. Everything you're looking at was built from our conversations — your worksheet answers, the brands on your wall, the way you talk about the store and the neighborhood. It's a starting point, not a finished product handed to you.

Go through it and tell me how it feels. Wording, colors, photos, what's on the homepage, what order things go in — all of it is still open, and we'll shape it together until it's right for the brand before anything goes live.

1

What's already built

The website itself, designed and built before this quote. It's included in the price below — you're not being charged twice for it.

Built · live for your review
  • Brand direction and full site designType, color, photography direction and page layouts, built around Muffy Lounge and Components — not a template.
  • Twenty pages, built and live for reviewHome, five brand pages (PYNRS, Ciele, Jaclar, Kiprun, Saucony), shop with full men's and women's sections, product page, drops, fitting, about, contact.
  • Built to work on a phoneEvery page laid out for phones first, since that's where most of your customers will open it.
  • Search wiring built into the pagesEach brand page written to come up for "[Brand] Chicago" and "[Brand] Midwest," plus the behind-the-scenes code Google reads to show your address and hours.
  • Shopify theme foundationThe design converted into Shopify's format, ready to install the day the store account exists.

2

What's left to launch

Everything between the site as it stands today and the store taking real orders at your own web address.

  • Shopify store setupAccount configured, design installed, checkout turned on, Illinois sales tax rules applied, USPS shipping rates connected, and your 7-day unworn / store-credit return policy written into the site.
  • Product catalog — first 40 productsLoaded with sizes, widths, prices and stock counts. Additional products beyond 40 are quoted separately.
  • Your domain, connectedmuffysloungecomponents.com pointed at the new store, with a security certificate so it loads as https.
  • Business email on your domainUp to three mailboxes (for example muffy@muffysloungecomponents.com), plus the anti-spoofing records — SPF, DKIM and DMARC — that stop scammers sending email that looks like it came from your store. Given the phishing you've been getting, this matters.
  • Your photography, placedThe photos from your shoot swapped in for the temporary stand-ins across every page.
  • Launch, testing and a training sessionTest orders placed end to end before go-live, then a walkthrough so you and your staff can add products, run a drop and fill orders without calling me.

5

What you'll pay someone else

These are the running costs of having an online store. They are not part of the $5,000 and they aren't paid to me — you'll sign up in your own name and pay each company directly, so you always control the accounts. Prices are what these companies publish as of August 2026 and can change.

Paid by you, directly to each vendor
WhatTypical cost
ShopifyRuns the store, checkout and inventory. Required. $39/mo

6

The terms, plainly

Written so nobody has to interpret anything later. If a line here doesn't match what you understood, say so before you sign and we'll fix it.

You own everything

  • Every account — Shopify, domain, email — is created in your name with your email as the owner. Not mine.
  • The website design, code, and written content are yours on final payment, to keep, move, or hand to another developer.
  • Your customer list and sales data are yours. I never sell, share, or reuse them.
  • Your photographs stay yours. Making sure you have permission to use photos of people is your responsibility.
  • If we part ways, you keep the store and it stays running. There is no lock-in.

Timeline

  • 4 to 6 weeks from the deposit to launch — assuming the items in section 7 arrive in the first two weeks.
  • The clock pauses while I'm waiting on you for products, photos, or approvals, and restarts when they land.
  • Brand approvals, bank verification, and Google's domain checks are outside my control and can add days.

Revisions

  • Two rounds of changes per section are included — plenty for normal feedback.
  • Anything genuinely new or outside this scope is quoted first at $95/hour, and only starts when you approve it in writing.

Not included in this quote

  • The monthly vendor costs in section 5.
  • Email marketing setup — newsletters, drop alerts, sign-up campaigns. Available as a separate quote.
  • Analytics and search reporting setup. Available as a separate quote.
  • Photography and videography — your shoot.
  • Writing product descriptions for individual items beyond brand and category pages.
  • Packing and shipping orders, answering customer emails, or running your social accounts.
  • Paid advertising and ad budget.
  • Legal, accounting, or tax filings, business registration, or brand contract negotiation.
  • Products beyond the first 40.

After launch

  • First 30 days after launch are covered. Bugs, fixes, and questions — no charge.
  • After that, ongoing help is optional and month-to-month (see section 8). You are never locked into it.
  • Declining ongoing support changes nothing about your ownership. The store is yours and keeps running.

Cancelling

  • You can stop at any time. You pay for work completed to that point; anything paid beyond that is refunded within 14 days.
  • The deposit covers work already delivered and is non-refundable once work resumes.

7

What I need from you

The launch date depends on these more than on anything on my end. Most take minutes.

  • Your domain loginSo the store can be pointed at muffysloungecomponents.com.
  • Inventory listBrand, model, sizes, widths, prices and roughly how many of each. A spreadsheet or an export from your POS is fine.
  • Photos from the shootProduct, store and people. These replace the stand-in images across the whole site.
  • Business bank details for Shopify PaymentsEntered by you, directly into Shopify. I never see or handle your banking information.
  • Store phone number for the siteLeft blank on the worksheet.
  • Which publication ranked the two Saucony shoes #1Needed before that claim can go on the live site — we don't publish it unsourced.
  • Your written brand approvals to sell onlineYou said you have them. Copies protect you if a brand ever asks.
  • Your story, in your wordsMost of it is already down from our conversations. One more pass finishes the About page.

8

Optional: keeping it running

Not part of the $5,000 and not required. Listed so you know what it costs before you need it — decide after launch, once you see how much you actually want to hand off.

$300/month

Month-to-month. Cancel any time with 30 days' notice. First 30 days after launch are free regardless.

  • New products added and sold-out items updated
  • Drop pages built when a release lands
  • Seasonal homepage and merchandising changes
  • Software updates, backups, uptime and security monitoring
  • Email and text support, next business day
